KOHAT, March 7: Two brothers were arrested on Monday for allegedly shooting dead their sister along with her two children two days back in Taulanj area here.

A police team headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Ehsanullah had launched investigations into the blind murder case of a woman Basmeen Bibi and her two children.

The husband of the slain women whose two other minor children were also injured in the attack had lodged report with police blaming his in-laws for the murders. The police arrested several suspicious people of the area and also interrogated the two brothers of the deceased women, Sher Ali and Gulab Shah who could not satisfy the investigation team.

The Gumbat police arrested them for further interrogation and formally nominated them in the murder case on Monday

BOOKED: Owners of eight CD centres in a city market were booked for showing obscene films in a raid by police on Monday.

The police took into custody two computers and CDs containing nude films from them in Farooqui market of Bannu bazaar.

The city police raided various CD shops after receiving numerous complaints and shifted eight accused to police station and registered cases against them. —Correspondent
