RAWALPINDI, Feb 24: A jobless carpenter committed suicide by hanging himself with ceiling of his house in Sadiqabad on Thursday, police and his family said. Javaid Akhtar, 55, father of three was found hanging with the piece of rope tied to the ceiling of his house in the afternoon.

Aurangzaib Akhtar, brother of the victim said that apparently there had been no domestic problem with his brother which could drive him to commit suicide. However, he had been at home for the last couple of days and had not been on his work.

“There had been nothing wrong with him as he was living a happy life, but he had been jobless for the last a few days,” Aurangzaib said.—Staff Reporter
