House looted in Pindi

RAWALPINDI, Feb 20: Three unidentified gunmen forced their way into a house in Waris Khan and robbed Rs75,000, gold ornaments and managed to escape, police said on Sunday.

Aurangzaib, robbery victim, said in his complaint that he received a phone call at his work place from his house that three unidentified gunmen forcibly entered into the house and looted the cash and ornaments by holding his family hostage at gunpoint.

He said on his return he found his wife and children terrified.

He said that the culprits snatched Rs75,000, five gold rings, six earrings and gold bangles from the inmates and escaped after locking them in a room.

The value of the looted gold ornaments was yet to be estimated.

In another incident, a man was robbed of cash, laptop computer and cell phone by two unidentified gunmen when he was going home in Westridge.

Raja Hamayun Ikram was on way to home when was intercepted by two unidentified motorbike riders in Lane 5 Peshawer Road.

He said they held him at gunpoint and snatched the laptop computer, mobile phone and cash. Later the culprits escaped with the booty.
