BADIN, Feb 19: Two outlaws were killed in an encounter near Kamaro minor on the Badin-Kadhan road, six kilometres from here, on Saturday morning.

On receiving information, a contingent of Badin police led by SHO Model police station Naveed Pathan and Incharge city police station Hyder Mallah reached the area of Abul Wal Wasi where some dacoits were present.

Sources said that two of the four dacoits tried to escape on a motorcycle under the cover of firing on the police party. But when the police party returned the fire, they were killed.

The dead were identified as Babu Sheedi of Nindo Shehar in taluka Badin and Ahmed Ali of Karachi.

However, their accomplices Babu Awan and Majeed Mirbahar managed to escape.

DPO Badin Fida Hussain Mastoi told reporters that Babu Sheedi was involved in 21 cases, including robberies and attacks on police.

Six cases were registered at different police stations in Karachi and Nawabshah against Ahmed Ali.

SHO Badin has registered an FIR against the dacoits, stating that Babu had snatched a police rifle. He was involved in different criminal cases.

He said that Rs100,000 had been awarded by Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza and equal amount by RPO Hyderabad Syed Mushtaque Shah to the police party.

However, the sister of Babu Sheedi, Gulshan Sheedi, said that her brother had left all criminal activities one year ago.

Receiving the body, she accused police of killing her brother in a fake encounter.
