ISLAMABAD: Ali Afzal Malik, who was pursuing his MS leading to PhD degree in Computer Science under HEC Fulbright Scholarship, has completed his doctorate from the University of Southern California (USC).

He has also been awarded USC OIS Academic Achievement Award 2010.

Dr. Mailk's doctoral research focused on a sub-field of Software Cost Estimation called Early Software Sizing. His PhD dissertation entitled “Quantitative and Qualitative Analyses of Requirements Elaboration for Early Software Size Estimation” proposes a novel way to estimate the size of a software project at the time of inception.

He is currently working as an Associate Prof in the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) at University of Central Punjab (UCP), Lahore.
