SUKKUR, Feb 4: A five-year-old boy, who had been kidnapped from Khanpur Mahar 45 days ago, was recovered from a house in the kutcha area of Noor-Ji-Kutchi near Ubauro on Friday, police said.

Speaking at a press conference in his office in Mirpur Mathelo, DPO Ghotki Pir Mohammad Shah said that that an operation was in progress in the kutcha area of Raunti near Ubauro since Wednesday during which about 40 suspects were taken in custody for interrogation.

Fearing arrest, a gang of six criminals fled from their hideouts, leaving behind Shewan Kumar, he said.
