PESHAWAR, Jan 29: A senior clerk of the Writ Branch, Peshawar High Court, Shahid Hameed, was on Saturday dismissed from service by the Chief Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan after he was found guilty of receiving bribe.

According to a press release issued here, the clerk was proceeded against under the disciplinary rules by the chief justice on the complaint of a party to a case pending in the high court that he took bribe for a favourable decision from another party. — Bureau Report
