KARACHI, Jan 25: Korangi Gymkhana and Salaar Welfare Centre emerged victorious in the two 8th Karachi Football League Group ‘B’ matches played at the Baloch Mujahid Stadium here on Monday evening.

Korangi Gymkhana edged out Mauripur Baloch 4-3. The goals for the winners were scored by Faizan Waheed (31st min), Abdul Maroof (34th and 58th mins) and Anil Ansari (61st min) while Sameer Samad (36th min), Sameer Jahangir (60th min) and Naeem Ahmed (68th min) reduced the margin for the losing side.

In the other match, Abdul Haleem’s brilliant hat-trick enabled Salaar Welfare Centre Malir to thrash Gulshan-i-Ittihad Korangi 6-2. Haleem found the net in the 20th, 29th, 49th and 79th minutes with Waseem Irfani (25th min) and Mohammad Asif (66th min) adding one each to the winners’ tally. For Gulshan-i-Ittihad, the goals came through Mohammad Amir (85th min) and Mohammad Ibrahim (90+2 mins).
