LAHORE, Jan 22: A PIA plane was grounded in Multan on Saturday after it developed a “technical fault”. The passengers had to wait for more than eight hours to get another plane to reach their destination, Quetta.

A PIA flight PK-685 (ATR plane) reached Multan from Islamabad at 1.30pm. After reaching there, a 'technical fault' was detected and the authorities concerned declared it “unfit” to fly.

The plane was to leave Multan for Quetta at 2pm. According to officials, the PIA called for its replacement from Karachi (another ATR plane) which arrived later in the evening in Multan and left for Quetta at 10.30pm. 13
