ISLAMABAD, Jan 18: ANP MNA Bushra Gohar lodged a complaint with the Secretariat police station on Tuesday against an unidentified person who was sending her threatening SMS and making miss calls.

She said she received a threatening SMS and a few miss calls from the same number on Saturday evening.

The police said it had been identified that the SMS were sent from Nowshera and Lahore and the miss calls were made from the same locations. They further said special teams would be constituted and dispatched to Nowshera and Lahore to arrest the culprits.

When contacted, Ms Gohar said she received threats through the SMS after which she contacted the police.

“It is not unusual as ANP politicians are frequently receiving threats,” she said, and added that “ANP politicians are on the hit list of terrorists.”

She said the motive behind the threats was not mentioned in the SMS. —Staff Reporter
