KARACHI, Oct 2: Sindh Governor Mohammedmian Soomro, visited the Sindh Assembly building on Wednesday and inspected the construction, renovation and expansion work of the building.

He directed that the historical identity of the building should be maintained. He also stressed that the work should be undertaken and completed in accordance with the timetable.

He further directed that the sound system and other facilities should be provided on modern lines.

The total cost of the repair, renovation and expansion work is about Rs30 million and the work id expected to be completed before the commencement of the assembly session.

The seating capacity of the assembly hall has been enhanced from 116 to 166 in view of the increase in the number of Sindh assembly seats.—APP
