KARACHI, Oct 2: A meeting to review progress on the development schemes of archeological sites in Sindh was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Secretary Culture, Tourism Sindh, Ashiq Hussain Memon.

The discussed and reviewed the development schemes to preserve archeological sites, monuments and places in the province.

The secretary said that the Sindh governor had expressed deep concern over the poor conditions of archeological sites in the province. He directed the officials to take proper steps for maintenance and repairs of archeological sites and monuments.

He directed the officials to approach the DCO Karachi to resolve the problems of Wazir Mansion. He said the director general culture should undertake a visit to the Umerkot fort and other archeological sites in the province.—PPI
