FC man dies in blast

QUETTA, Jan 13: An Frontier Corps man was killed and three others were injured when a landmine exploded in the Loti gas field area on Thursday.

Sources said that the incident took place when the FC vehicle hit the landmine planted by unidentified people.

The vehicle was damaged in the blast.

FC personnel deployed took the injured to a nearby hospital from where they were shifted to Quetta.

Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.

The sources said that additional contingents of FC and Balochistan Constabulary were sent to the area after the incident.

Several gas pipelines have been attacked in the area in the past one week.
