MARDAN, Sept 30: Tehsil Nazim Irsal Khan died early Monday at the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, and was buried at his native village.

He was injured in an ambush on Friday night by unknown men at the Khandaro village, some five kilometres from his native village Garhi Kapoora, when he was returning home after attending a public meeting of the former federal minister and candidate for NA-9, Abbas Sarfaraz Khan, at the Geedar village.

He was rushed to the DHQ hospital with multiple bullet injuries and later shifted to the LRH, where he breathed his last on Monday.
