Five outlaws held

LAKKI MARWAT, Jan 4: Police have arrested five outlaws in a crackdown launched against anti-social elements and criminal gangs in the district.

A police official told this correspondent on Tuesday that DPO Gul Wali Khan had constituted three separate teams to take action against criminals and proclaimed absconders in different areas of the district. He said that police parties raided hideouts of criminals in various localities and arrested five outlaws wanted by police in different cases. He said that the alleged outlaws included Barkatullah, Ibrahim, Allah Khan, Iqbal and Fareedullah.

ELECTED: Hafiz Ihsanur Rehman has been elected president of Jamiat Tulba-i-Islam (JTI) of Government Postgraduate College, Lakki unit. Elections to different posts of the JUI-F students' wing were held on Tuesday under the supervision of JUI local activist Yousaf Khan.

JUI-F's district amir Maulana Abdul Rahim and a large number of student activists affiliated with JTI attended the meeting held for conducting elections.

Among the other office-bearers Qudratullah was elected vice-president, Farhatullah general secretary and Waliullah deputy general secretary of the JTI.
