KARACHI, Sept 30: The chairman of the Awami Qayadat Party, Mirza Aslam Beg, has said that the forth-coming elections are portraying a unique picture visible for the first time in the country’s history.

Speaking at a press conference at Karachi Press Club, the former army chief said that there are the parties which are supporting the status quo, and they support the government the formation of National Security Council and other amendments, and these parties enjoy the support of the government.

On the other hand, there are parties, like PPP, PML(N), MMA and his own party which are opposing the constitutional and basic changes made by the government.

He, however, he deplored that these parties have failed to make any seat adjustment or electoral alliance that could ensure their victory in the polls.—PPI
