QUETTA: A bicycle bomb exploded Friday in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta, killing a policeman and wounding four others, police said.

The bomb exploded as a police vehicle passed in the suburbs of Quetta, the capital of restive Balochistan province, senior police official Hamid Shakil told AFP.

“At least one policeman was martyred and three others and a passer-by were injured in the bomb blast,” Shakil said.

Local police station officials also confirmed the attack and casualties.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
