LANDI KOTAL, Dec 19: The Tribal Union of Journalists, Khyber Agency chapter, has taken serious exception to the maltreatment of two of its journalists by security forces during a search operation in Landi Kotal the other day.

In a meeting at the Landi Kotal press club the TUJ local cabinet alleged that Asadullah and Abuzar Afridi were maltreated by the security forces when the two journalists protested the search of their house without women searchers.

The TUJ through a resolution demanded of the IG Frontier Corps to take notice of the incident and initiate an enquiry against the concerned officials.

Meanwhile, a statement issued from the TUJ main office in Peshawar said it had convened the general body meeting at Peshawar on Dec 22.—Correspondent
