QUETTA: Militants in southwestern Balochistan province attacked a paramilitary Frontier Corps convoy near the town of Khuzdar on Friday, police said, killing one soldier and wounding five.

In retaliatory fire, three assailants were killed.

Ethnic Baloch militants have waged a low-level revolt for decades for greater autonomy for the resource-rich province bordering Afghanistan and Iran.
