THIS is apropos of the letter ‘Depression and creative ingenuity’ (Nov 30). People who are sensitive are in a generic sense purported to be creative.

Another dynamic to this argument can be supported by the underpinnings of psychology and medical palmistry, according to which people who have simian line on their hands often suffer through depression but at the same time are very talented, which is only due to their strong willpower, stamina and intense disposition.

People with such simian lines have also contributed to different fields. Instances such as Nikita Kuruschev, former Soviet Union premier; Tony Blair, former prime minister of Great Britain; John Steinbeck, Nobel Prize winner in literature; Robert De Niro, Academy Award winning actor; Hillary Clinton, US secretary of state, all have simian lines in one or both of their hands.

Simian line is a straight line that runs across the hand and the study of palmistry connotes it with the fusion of head and heart line running as one.

Such people are also said to have an inclination towards spirituality.
