KARACHI: Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) registered wins in the three Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) matches played here on Tuesday.

A hat-trick by Mohammad bin Younus enabled KPT into giving a 6-1 thrashing to Young Blood FC at the KPT-Benazir Sports Complex. Mohammad bin Younus scored his three goals in the 24th, 78th and 84th minutes while Zahid Ahmed (15th and 75th mins) and Mohammad Waseem (83rd min) added the rest. Young Blood FC`s consolation goal was scored by Asim Mansoor (56th min).

Mohammad Essa (27th and 73rd mins) and Abdul Rehman (59th and 63rd mins) scored two each while Aurangzeb Sr (76th min) one in KESC`s 5-0 win over PMC Athletico at the Peoples Sports Complex.

Meanwhile, at the Korangi Baloch Stadium, PIA edged past National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) 2-1. Both the goals for the winners were scored by Saddam Hussain (first and 33rd mins) as Mohammad Asif (63rd min) scored for NBP.

Today’s fixtures: Afghan FC v Army at Govt High School, Chaman; Baloch FC v Navy at Nushki Football Stadium, Nushki. Matches kick off at 2.30pm.
