QUETTA, Nov 28 The commissioner of Kalat division, Mohammad Iqbal Khosa, suspended on Sunday the tehsildar of Khuzdar with immediate effect and ordered an inquiry against him.

Sources said Mr Khosa took action against Abdul Aziz Sasoli after receiving information that he had not officially recorded the names of the accused involved in theft of steel worth Rs5 million for the Gwadar-Ratodero road project despite having proof against them.

The commissioner appointed assistant commissioner of Nal, Maqbool Ahmed Qalandrani, as inquiry officer and posted Mohammad Umar as the new tehsildar of Khuzdar.
