SUKKUR, Nov 24: A man shot dead his daughter after declaring her kari in Ghulam Rasool Khoso village near Thull.

Shah Beg Katohar had been suspecting his daughter Farzana of having illicit relations with a man.

He opened fire and killed her while she was preparing meal for family members on Wednesday.

In another incident, a young woman was killed while her mother and brothers were injured by her husband in Ahmed Din Khoso village near Kashmore late on Tuesday night.

Atleast ten days ago, Ali Murad Shahani had declared his wife Ghazal Khoso 'kari' and expelled her from home. Since then she had been living with her parents.

On Tuesday night Ali Murad, along with his accomplices, broke into the house of his father-in-law Hamadullah Khoso and shot dead his wife Ghazal.

Her mother Sakina and brothers Ashraf, Amjad, Tanveer and Arshad also sustained injuries while resisting the attackers.

Police removed the body and the injured to Guddu hospital.

No FIR had been registered till the filing of this report.

Young man killed A young man Pir Bux Kalhoro was shot dead near Pano Akil on Wednesday.

He had gone to the village from Sukkur to meet his relatives where armed men opened fire and killed him.

The body was removed to Pano Akil taluka hospital. It was handed over to relatives after post-mortem.
