KARACHI, Nov 15: Two young men were killed in an armed clash between two groups in Malir on Monday, police said.

They said the two criminal groups exchanged fire in Mehran Goth that killed Ali Nawaz, allegedly wanted in seven different cases of robbery and illegal arms.

“The other man killed in the firing was identified as Riaz, who was also associated with one of the gangs,” said an official at the Malir City police station. “He was a resident of Salar Goth in Malir and had come under attack during the brief exchange of fire between the two groups.”

The bodies were later shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

The police said the incident seemed the result of a dispute between the two gangs. However, they could not arrest any suspect following the incident.
