KARACHI: KU declares MA exam results

KARACHI, Sept 19: The University of Karachi on Thursday announced the results of M.A. (Final) Regular annual examination-2001, with a pass percentage of 54.55.

According to the KU notification, of the 352 students having appeared in the Economics, Islamic History, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Urdu, Education and Mass Communication examinations, 192 were declared to have passed. As many as 45 candidates secured first division.

Names of the position holders in the merit lists are as follows: Economics — Hina Shaikh, seat no 4041 (first), Farheen Ali Khan (second), 4039, Kanwal Sikandar, 4042 (third).

Islamic History — Sajid Hussain, 4304, (first) and Ihtisham Gul, 4302, (second).

Islamic Studies — Mohammad Karim, 4212 (first), Mohammad Anas, 4217, (second), Khalid Shah, 4208, (third).

Political Science — Ruby, 4458, (first), Ghulam Mustafa, 4410 (second), Yasmeen Jatoi, 4465, (second) and Nadir Sabir, 4457, (third).

Urdu — Saleem-ur-Rahman, 4539 (first), Pakeeza, 4534 (second) and Urooj Azeem, 4535, (third).

Education — Amina Murad, 4116 (first), Humera Zareen, 4128 (second), Mohammad Aijaz, 4106 (third).

Mass Communication — Mohammad Ejaz Khan, 4370 (first), Mohammad Kamran, 4355, (second) and Iftikhar Khan, 4353 (third).

MBBS RESULTS: Karachi University on Thursday declared the results of the First Professional MBBS Part-A Annual Examination-2002 after the inquiry committee reviewed their cases, adds PPI.

Candidates having seat numbers 1655, 1667, 1696, 1748, 1749, 1781, 1788, 1797, 1855, 1856, 1857, 1867, 1901, 1929 and 1109 have been declared pass, while candidates having seat numbers 1665 and 1696 have failed the examination.

SCHOLARSHIP: The deputy registrar (academic) section has notified for the information of all concerned, that the date for the submission of application forms for the merit-cum-need scholarship in the respective departments has been extended upto Sept 26, a press release said on Thursday.

The chairpersons have been requested to send the applications in one lot till Sept 27, to the deputy registrar (academic) section for further processing.
