CHARSADDA, Nov 8: Six passengers were killed and thirteen others wounded in a road accident here on Monday.

The accident occurred in Shabqadar on Peshawar-Charsadda road.

Residents said a passenger coach (LOK-4967), on way to Peshawar from Shabqadar, rammed into a roadside tree and turned upside down after colliding head-on with a car (LOG 4003) of a local driving centre at Major Qilla.

Another vehicle (Swabi 1100) also suffered the fatal incident.

A total of six persons identified as Khadim Hussain of Nesat, six-year-old girl child Shebo, Hazrat Ali, and two unknown persons from Bajaur were killed while thirteen others wounded. The injured most of them critical were referred to Peshawar. HARIPUR:

Four persons including two bike riders were killed and two others injured in three different road accidents here on Monday.

Police said a motorbike No LSO-5707 fell into a deep ravine killing two riders identified as Dr Rehmat Ali of village Khairbara Ghazi and Abdul Khaliq of Damun Papliala Ghazi. The motorcyclists were going to Haripur from Ghazi.

In the second accident, a car No B-2851 fell into a gorge after colliding with a roadside tree near village Gulu Bandi killing one person identified as Rameez of Mansehra and critically injuring Omair and Hafiz Jalil.

The injured were shifted to DHQ hospital Haripur from where they were referred to Ayub Teaching Hospital Abbottabad.

The ill-fated family was going to Rawalpindi for Eid shopping.

The fourth casualty was reported from the jurisdiction of Hattar police station where an unknown man in his 30s was struck by a vehicle.

The errant driver fled from the scene in darkness of the night. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained.
