Khairpur poet dies

KHAIRPUR, Nov 3: Qul of renowned poet and an educator, Ghulam Ali Gohar was held on Wednesday.

The 84 years old poet died on Monday and was laid to rest in his Maikhana (the abode of a practicing Sufi) situated on his agricultural land.

He was born in Hussainabad and his father Faqeer Mohammad Faqeer was a practicing Sufi.

Ghulam Ali Gohar served as a primary teacher from 1944 to 1974. His poetic work had been published in various newspapers/magazines. His anthology Kalam-i-Gohar was published in 1977 and Safar Zindagi Jo in 2007.
