QUETTA, Oct 27: The Balochistan High Court has ordered transfer of the murder case of Advocate Mohammad Zaman Marri from Mastung police station to Crimes Branch of Quetta. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Qazi Faez Issa and Justice Syeda Tahira Safdar said on Wednesday that police had submitted a report but the advocate general of Balochistan and Balochistan High Court Bar Association president were not satisfied with it as even the basic issues had not been addressed in it.

The court said the report had not mentioned the person who had found the body of Mr Marri and the one who had informed the police about the murder. It said the map of the place from where the body was found had not mentioned its distance from the main road.

The medico-legal officer mentioned in his report that the cause of death was injuries from two bullets but he did not state whether the bullets had exited the body.

The court ordered the director of Crime Branch of Quetta to depute a competent officer to conduct an inquiry and submit a report.

Mr Marri was kidnapped in Quetta on Aug 18 and his body was found near Mastung on Sept 6.
