KARACHI: Course on diabetes begins today

KARACHI, Sept 15: The Diabetic Association of Pakistan and the WHO Collaborating Centre will be organizing the 13th Annual Course on Diabetes for Family Physicians and Post Graduate Studies at the PMA House here from Sept 16 to Sept 21.

The course offers a hands on training opportunity to participants, and covers a wide range of topics adequately complimented with evidence based studies.

Topics to be part of the six-day programme include insulin therapy, diabetic foot, diabetic neuropathy, oral hypoglycemia agents and secondary drug failure, diet and diabetes, diabetic nephropathy, diabetic retinopathy, pregnancy and diabetes, and diabetes yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Prof A Samad Shera, Dr A Basit, Dr Aziz Sonawalla, Dr Fatema Jawad, Dr Bilal Jamil, Dr Sajid Ali Mirza, Prof Noorjahan Samad, Ms Deneize Asim and Prof Mashoor Alam Shah will be among the speakers.—APP
