KARACHI: Man shoots wife to death

KARACHI, Sept 15: A man shot his wife to death in his house in Federal B-Area on early Sunday morning.

Qurban Shah shot his wife Maqsooda, aged 45, to death while she was asleep in their house in Block-21 of Federal B-Area.

The man has been traceless after he killed his wife.

Police said that other family members were woken up by the gunfire, and found Maqsooda lying in a pool of blood.

Her body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem.

Police could not immediately ascertain the motive behind the killing.

DIES: A labourer died when marble slabs fell on him in Manghopir on Sunday.

Police said that Nuruddin, aged 26, was working at a marble factory when several slabs fell on him from a height. He died instantaneously.

The body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem.
