ISLAMABAD, Sept 5: All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) will not consider any Indian offer for maximum autonomy to Occupied Kashmir, said Chairman APHC, Abdul Ghani Bhat, on Thursday.
Speaking in a PTV programme News Night, he said, Kashmiris have been struggling for their right to self- determination, and not for maximum autonomy.
“The APHC would not even think of it,” he said while responding to a question about the Indian offer that it could grant maximum autonomy to Kashmiris.
He said the APHC stance is very clear regarding the international law, on United Nations resolutions, and on the sacrifices rendered by Kashmiris in their struggle.
He said, if Pakistan and India were to hold bilateral talks without the Kashmiris’ involvement, they will not be able to find a solution to the dispute.
He said the APHC’s stance is clear; the forthcoming assembly elections will be boycotted, he added.—APP
