KARACHI: 17 more vehicles taken away

KARACHI, Sept 2: At least 17 vehicles — seven cars and 10 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in different parts of the city on Monday.

Bandits took away two cars at gunpoint while five were stolen in different parts of the city.

Four motorcycles were hijacked while six were stolen by the bandits. Police claimed recovery of three cars and four motorcycles.

ACCIDENT: A young man died in a road accident on Superhighway on Monday.

Police said a vegetable-seller, Zakir Husain, 25, fell from a moving pick-up on the highway and suffered severe head injuries.

He was rushed to Abbasi from where he referred to the JPMC.

However, he died during treatment at the hospital, police added.

A young man, Imran, died in a road accident in Shah Faisal Colony.
