PESHAWAR: 17 outlaws held in Khyber

PESHAWAR, Aug 27: The political authorities have finally arrested the ring leaders of the outlaws during the course of its ongoing operation in Tehsil Bara Khyber agency here on Tuesday.

In the wake of the operation which has been in progress for five days in parts of Khyber agency, the political authorities claimed to have arrested ring leaders, namely Alam Said and Hashim, both residents of Qambar Khel, Tehsil Bara Khyber agency along with their 15 armed comrades.

Both the criminals were busy in planning in Nalai Khor in Tehsil Bara when spotted by the Khasadar forces. They were armed with klashnikoves, hand grenades and rocket launchers which they used against the Khasadar forces and the exchange of fire continued for several hours forcing the outlaws to take refuge in a nearby house from where they were arrested.
