ISLAMABAD Ushna Suhail showed a new hope in girls' tennis event, lifting the Subh-e-Nau National tennis championship at the PTF Complex on Monday.

Ushna did not give any room to Sara Mansoor in the final, winning it 6-2, 6-2.

Earlier, Sara Mansoor had defeated Sara Mahboob 6-3, 6-0 in the semi-final.

Meanwhile, Heera Ashiq walloped Sadan-ul-Haq in boys' U-18 final.

Heera defeated Sadan 6-0, 6-1.

In the U-14 final, fourth-seed Zaid Mujahid surprised third-seed Saad Zafar 5-4, 4-2.

Shahida Kausar Farooq, chairperson of the Subh-e-Nau, distributed trophies and cash prize of Rs200,000 among the winners.

Boys' U-18 Heera Ashiq bt Sadan-ul-Haq 6-0, 6-1.
