ABBOTTABAD, June 6 Tehrik-i-Hazara chairman Ali Asghar Khan has asked the Peshawar High Court chief justice to issue directives for review of the judicial commission's inquiry report of the April 12 incident in which eight people were killed injured and over 100 others injured.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, he said the commission had failed to fix responsibility of the incident and find exact toll of deaths. The commission, he said, issued an ambiguous report which held the district, divisional administration, police, local politicians and the general public collectively responsible for the incident.

Meanwhile, Baba Haider Zaman, chief Tehrik-i-Suba Hazara, speaking at press conference at the Press Club on Sunday remarked that the commission had failed to fulfill its obligations to find out the facts.

He was flanked by Gohar Ayub Khan, Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob, Shezada Gustasab Khan, Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani, Dr.Azhar Khan Jadoon, Abrar Saeed Swati and advocate Mushtaq Tahir Kheli, head of four-member legal advisors team which assisted the judicial commission to complete its a month-long proceedings.

Mr Kheli said there were several legal flaws in the report and demanded the provincial government to hand over a copy of the report to the Tehrik leaders so that they could initiate their response against the commission report.

He termed the report an attempt to safeguard the rights of the ANP-led government, saying the judicial commission had performed the “executive's function”.

He alleged that Justice Abdul Aziz Kundi, who had conducted the inquiry, had been an active member of the ANP in the past and “his loyalties were still questionable”.

Mr Kheli said he would file a writ in the high court and make the federation of Pakistan and the provincial government as respondents, while divisional and district administration would be part of his writ.

MANSEHRA Local ulema have demanded the government to consider the demand of separate province for Hazara people.

“We have launched a movement for creation of Hazara and it will succeed,” Maulana Qazi Khaliur Rehamn said while speaking at a convention here on Sunday.
