KOHAT, May 4 The police defused a foreign made remote-controlled bomb planted on a roadside frequently used by security forces in Hangu on Tuesday.

The police media cell said that the eight kilogram bomb was found on the road in Darband area on Doaba side of Hangu district. The bomb disposal squad was called in to defuse it.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, Darra Adam Khel and Kohat division, Usman Ali claimed to Dawn on telephone from an unknown location that the attack on DSP the other day was carried out by them in which he escaped.

He said they had asked the DSP, Lachi circle of Kohat Mushatq Hussain to stop harassment and arrests of their men but he did not budge forcing the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan high command to issue his 'death warrants'.

He claimed that due to some security problems they could not deliver the bodies of the government officials who were kidnapped and killed by them as they had to shift to another area urgently.
