ABBOTTABAD, Aug 17: Naseer Khan Jadoon, General Secretary Pakistan Awami Tehrik, NWFP, has announced the names of party candidates for 4 provincial, 1 National and 1 Women seats from Abbottabad district. He dropped hint that the name of PAT’s central chairman Prof Allama Tahir-ul-Qadri was under consideration for Abbottabad-1 (NA-17) seat.

He was addressing a press conference here at press club Abbottabad on Friday. Mr Jadoon was accompanied by district and provincial office-bearers of PAT.

According to the announcement, Chaudhry Muhammad Aurangzeb is nominated for NA-18, Raja Waqar Ahmed for PF-44, Sardar Abdul Wahab Khan Advocate for PF-45, Shezad Khan Advocate for PF-47, Abdul Wahab Rehmani for PF-48 and Lady Councillor Mrs Gulzar Anwar Qureshi for the women seat.

PAT provincial secretary General Naseer Khan Jadoon alleged that the district govt of Abbottabad was trying to support the PML(N) in Abbottabad district. He said although PAT was part of the local alliance for the election of district Nazim, the party considered that the elected district government had failed in implementing the basic decisions of the agreement reached between all the parties.
