KARACHI, Aug 11: Sindh Governor Mohammedmian Soomro has said the government will extend all possible cooperation to organizations which are working for improvement of environmental and civic conditions besides development of parks and trees.

He stated this while talking to Shahida Farooq, chairperson of the SWT, at the Governor’s House.

Ms Farooq brought various issues to the notice of the governor, including deteriorating environmental and civic conditions.

She suggested the governor to impose municipal emergency throughout the province, whereby the civic conditions could be improved with collective resources of local governments.

Mr Soomro pointed out that the district governments were already performing their civic responsibilities and imposition of such an emergency would involve funding.—APP
