Top seed Waqas Mehboob prevailed over Ahmed Amin 11-4, 11-2, 11-7; second seed Aurangzeb Mehmund got the better of Shahid Hussain 11-2, 11-5, 11-4.; third seed Hamza Bokhari was home 12-10, 11-2, 11-7 over Wahab Khan while fourth seed Raees Khan edged past Muqaddar Shah 11-9, 13-11, 11-8.Meanwhile, the first round matches of boys' under-17, under-15 and under-13 were in progress at the time of filing this report.
