MIRPURKHAS: One dies in accident

MIRPURKHAS, Aug 6: One person was killed and six others of a family were seriously injured when a taxi rammed into a parked tractor-trolley near Maroof Petroleum Station on Umerkot-Mirpurkhas Road on Monday night.

Imdad Halepoto, 30, died on the spot while driver Saroop Malhi, Shahnaz, Farzana, Manthar Ali, Akbar Ali, and Sajid Ali were injured.

The injured were taken to the Umerkot Taluka Hospital.

KIDNAPPED: A teenaged girl was kidnapped in Jhuddo on Tuesday.

Peru Kolhi lodged an FIR under section 11-16 of the Zina Hudood Ordinance with the Jhuddo police that his sister, Bhani, 16, was kidnapped by Juman, Qasim, Gullan, Mohammad Raheem and Anwar (all by caste Sanhaypota).
