KARACHI, July 25: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has decided to hold intra-party elections on July 30.

According to election schedule, the process of enlisting voters would be completed by July 26, while nominations papers would be received and initial list of candidates would be released on July 27.

The final list of candidates would be issued on July 28, while polling through secret balloting would be held from 10 am to 8 pm on July 30 and results would be announced on Aug 1.

Meantime, a meeting of the Muttahida coordination committee, held at Azizabad and International secretariat London simultaneously, with Dr Imran Farooq in the chair, on Thursday granted approval to the election schedule prepared by the party’s election committee.

The party coordination committee would comprise 25 members, including one convener, six deputy conveners and 18 members, added the press release.
