Mardan-Lahore train service soon

PESHAWAR, Oct 5 Federal Minister for Railways Ghulam Ahmed Bilour has said a non-stop train service from Mardan to Lahore will soon be started.

He said this during a surprise visit to the office of the railways divisional superintendent, Peshawar, on Monday. He also inspected facilities being provided to passengers at the Peshawar Cantonment Railways Station.

The minister directed officials concerned to facilitate passengers and improve railway services, adding all requirements of the Pakistan Railways would be met to make it a profitable service. He said every effort would be made to extricate the Pakistan Railways from the present financial difficulties.

He expressed satisfaction over performance of officials of the Cantonment Railway Station and facilities being provided to passengers at the station.— Bureau Report
