KARACHI, July 17: As many as 21 vehicles — six cars and 15 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Wednesday, police sources said.

Three cars were hijacked and an equal number was stolen in North Nazimabad, New Town, Saddar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, and Kalri.

Seven motorcycles were hijacked and eight others stolen in PIB Colony, Saddar, North Nazimabad, Buffer Zone, Orangi Town, New Karachi, Defence and Federal ‘B’ Area.

ACCIDENT: A policeman died and another was injured in a traffic accident late on Tuesday night.

An ASI Mohammad Azam, and a head constable Mohammad Sagheer, were riding on a motorbike and as they reached near Valika Hospital, a truck hit them. As a result, ASI Azam died on the spot and Sagheer suffered serious injuries.
