LARKANA, July 19 Due to overloading main switches controlling different feeders at 132 KV grid station of Larkana caught fire on Sunday which led to the abrupt tripping of main supply.

The gird station staff immediately extinguished the fire and saved it from further damages, sources said. The Over Circuit Breaker (OCB), regulating power supply to the Chandka sub-division caught fire due to the 'heat', sources at the gird station said.

On Saturday, three high tension wires of 1100 KV snapped near 132 KV gird station resulting into power cut to City-III, Baharpur and Tube Well-II feeders.

The sources at the grid station confirmed the tripping from 12.30 noon to 4 pm while tripping at Jinnahbagh and station road feeders continued.
