KOHAT, July 12: The election commission while deciding the petition regarding objections over the delimitation of PF-38 on Monday restored the old demarcations.

Syed Mahtab-ul-Hassan, Nazim of urban II had challenged the new demarcations of the constituency, taking the plea that the  government had constituted areas which had  different languages and social and cultural values as PF-38 which was unfair and against the interest of the people of the areas.

The election commission after hearing the objections restored the old status of the constituency, i.e., inclusion of older areas with the Kohat city instead of Shakardarra.

CHILD RECOVERED: Kohat police recovered a five-year-old girl kidnapped from Fateh Jang of Gumbat area near here and arrested four kidnappers belonging to Punjab on Friday.

The police, acting on a tip off provided by the Fateh Jang police, raided a house in Gumbat, 40km east of here on the Rawalpindi Road and recovered the baby girl, Amina.

The police also arrested Nazeer Gul, Mohammad Ishtiaq, Ahmed Din and Ikram, all residents of Fateh Jang who had demanded Rs five million as ransom.
