RAWALPINDI, June 21 Workers of the Pakistan People's Party gathered at Liaquat Bagh - site of the assassination of Benazir Bhutto - on Sunday to mark her 56th birthday and called for bringing her assassins to book.

The venue echoed with slogans, “we are ashamed, Benazir Bhutto; your assassins are still alive”. The PPP leader was killed on December 27, 2007.

This was her second birth anniversary after her assassination outside Liaquat Bagh two years ago.

Standing in front of a large portrait of Ms Bhutto with tears in their eyes recalling the scene of December 27 evening , a group of the PPP loyalists from Gujar Khan chanted emotional slogans, “Benazir hum sharmindah hain, tere qatil zinda hain”.
