KARACHI, July 11: Sindh Governor Mohammedmian Soomro instructed the Housing and Town Planning department on Thursday to begin issuing forms and other documents to journalists for the allotment of residential plots in the Hawkesbay housing scheme on the agreed prices.

At a meeting with a delegation of the Karachi Press Club in the Governor’s House, Mohammedmian Soomro also instructed the government departments to begin development work at the Hawkesbay scheme site. The delegation was led by KPC President Sabihuddin Ghausi.

The governor also announced that his government would help the journalists in acquiring loans for the construction of houses from the House Building Finance Corporation.

Also present at the meeting was Secretary for Housing and Town Planning Department Imtiaz Qazi, who briefed the governor on the latest position of allotment of residential plots to the journalists.

Imtiaz Qazi said he would start issuing challans and allotment letters to the Karachi Press Club on Monday and said he hoped that journalists would make payment within the prescribed time.
