LAHORE, May 25 Defending champions Pakistan made a stormy start in the 8th Asia Cup Baseball championship by crushing Malaysia 20-0 in their first match in Bangkok, Thailand, according to a message received here on Monday.
The tournament featuring eight teams will see Pakistan facing Sri Lanka in their next match on Tuesday. It will be a tough match as the Sri Lankan team arrived in Thailand with their Japanese coach, who has been with the side for the last two years. Pakistan won the event's 7th edition in 2006 in Rawalpindi.
