SHEIKHUPURA, July 4: On the directives of the Punjab governor, the Community Development EDO paid surprise visits to 11 filling stations in the city and its adjoining areas and sealed five of them for short measures.

The checking team led by EDO Imtiaz Ahmad Malik sealed filling stations Sheraz, Al-Sultan, Machchi Ke, Javed on Hafizabad Road, Khaliq on Lahore Road and Amer on Faisalabad Road.

Taking a serious note of the situation, the EDO expressed his dissatisfaction over the poor performance of the Labour department.

He said the district government would continue its campaign against the adulteration and those found involved in it would be dealt with sternly.

The report of the sealed filling stations would be sent to the governor for further action, he added.

The raiding team was also accompanied by Labour assistant director, District Information Officer Sarfrazullah Khan and others.

SHIFTED: The office of the District Information Officer has been shifted from 7 College Road to 17 Pehelvi Road near District Courts, Civil Lines.
