GILGIT Deputy Speaker of the Northern Areas Legislative Assembly Syed Asad Zaidi and a companion were killed by unidentified gunmen in Gilgit on Monday, DawnNews reports.
According to sources, unknown gunmen opened fire at Asad Zaidis car, critically injuring him. Asad Zaidi was operated upon in the DHQ hospital Gilgit but his life could not be saved.
